General Improvement District (GID)

The General Improvement District is a special taxing district formed in 2004 to provide essential infrastructure and services in the newly created Base Village common area, such as: fire protection equipment, snowmelt, walkways, road infrastructure, lighting, gondola lift, etc.

The Board of Directors meet annually, usually late in the year, to approve the annual budget. Learn more about the GID, the board members, how to contact them, upcoming meetings, historical resolutions, and their budget below.
