Alarm Permits
Alarm permits are issued through the MuniRevs system. If you do not have a Short Term Rental, Business License, or Sales Tax License with the Town of Snowmass Village you will need to create a new account.
Instructions for acquiring an Alarm Permit without a MuniRecs account are as follows:
- Visit the MuniRevs Website: Snowmassvillage.munirevs.com
- Create an Account: If you do not have an existing account, you will need to create one by clicking on the "NEW USER" Follow the on-screen instructions to provide the necessary information.
- Log In: Once you have an account set up you will log in using your credentials.
- Once logged in, navigate to the Business Center, under MANAGE your accounts, click the Add or Remove Accounts from your user login by clicking here
- Click the “I have a new Business and need to apply for a license” and select the drop down of "Alarm Permit Police”:
- This will bring to you apply for a NEW BUSINESS APPLICATION FORM. This includes private homes. Fill it out with as much information as possible.
- Business Ownership: Sole Proprietorship or LLC ( if it applies).
- Enter NO for the question "Do you sell Tobacco/nicotine products?" This question does not apply to owners who are just applying for an alarm permit.
- Please Enter "ALARM PERMIT ONLY" for the type of business.
- Enter NO for the question "Does Your BUSINESS NEED TO REMIT SALES OR LODGING TAX" This question does not apply to owners who are just applying for an alarm permit.
- Please Enter "HOME OCCUPIED" for the question asking about applicability to your business.
- You can use the current date under "START OF BUSINESS".
- For ALARM PERMITS ONLY ENTER N/A for BOTH the Federal and COLORADO SALES TAX. This question does not apply to owners who are just applying for an alarm permit.
- You must hit "SUBMIT" to get to the next section.
- Once this is complete it will be given a LIC # and will be in your action center showing as PENDING APPROVAL. Once approval has happened, you will have open tasks to complete your alarm registration.
- Complete Alarm Registration: Follow the prompts to complete the registration process for your alarm system. Ensure that all required information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Verify Contact Information: Double-check and update your contact information, including emergency contacts, to guarantee effective communication in case of an alarm activation.
- Payment (if applicable): If there are any fees associated with the alarm permit, make the necessary payment as per the instructions provided on the Muni Revs platform.
- If YOU HAVE ANY OUTSTANDING FEES for false alarms or failure to register in the previous years. You will get a separate email with instructions on how to pay false alarms to get you into compliance for the upcoming year.
If you have a Business License, STR, or Lodging Licesne for a complex:
- Please look up your 6 digit code that is associated with your account and either respond to this email or call so that we can add the Alarm Permit License to your account.
- If you are unsure, please reach out so we can see if you already have a business license within the town.
- Complete Alarm Registration: Follow the prompts to complete the registration process for your alarm system. Ensure that all required information is accurate and up to date.
- Verify Contact Information: Double-check and update your contact information, including emergency contacts, to guarantee effective communication in case of an alarm activation.
- Payment (if applicable): If there are any fees associated with the alarm permit, make the necessary payment as per the instructions provided on the Muni Revs platform.
- If you have outstanding fees for false alarms or failure to register in the previous years, you will get a separate email with instructions on how to pay false alarms to get you into compliance for the upcoming year.
We will not be accepting checks as a form of payment. Payment is accepted through the payment portal in MuniRevs.
