The Part-Time Residents Advisory Board (PTRAB) provides a mechanism of communication and education between part-time residents and the Town Council.
The Snowmass Village Part-Time Residents Advisory Board, as appointed by the Town Council, shall carry out such duties as directed by the Town Council and generally provide a mechanism of communication and education between second homeowners, and between second homeowners and the Town Council. The board shall provide input on issues to assist the Town Council in the establishment of Town policy. The Town Council believes that second homeowners can provide broad-based experience and knowledge of the issues.
Part-time residents are owners of property in Snowmass Village who are not registered voters in the Village, or the designated representative of an entity fee simple owner of real property in Snowmass Village who are not registered voters in the Village.
'State of the Village' Summer & Winter Meetings
In an effort to keep part-time residents informed on the latest issues and developments in Snowmass Village, PTRAB conducts bi-annual 'State of the Village' meetings - once in the summer, once in the winter.
The meetings typically begin with an opening welcome reception to give residents a chance to meet and greet with one another. Presentation topics and speakers vary, but the board allows for plenty of time for Q&A for the audience to ask about topics of interest to them.
- The summer meeting typically occurs in late July or early August.
- The Winter meeting typically occurs in February or early March.
