The Solid Waste and Recycling Division is responsible for the collection and disposal of garbage and recycling throughout the Village. They are committed to providing efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly service to both residential and commercial customers.
Residential Trash Service
The Town offers optional curbside service in the Horse Ranch, The Crossings, Rodeo Place, and Country Club subdivisions. Scheduled pickup for curbside customers in these locations is every Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. including all holidays.
All other residential customers have access to dumpster sheds located throughout the Village. Please contact the Solid Waste and Recycling Division at 970-923-5110 or by email for more information on rates specific to your area, and to setup your account.
Residential leaves can be composted at the rodeo lot in the leaf composting bin at the Rodeo Grounds beginning in October each year.
NEW in 2022: Beginning January 1, 2022, a composting bin collection site will be available for household food waste compost at the Public Works facility: 3745 Owl Creek Road. The composting bin will replace the existing electronics drop off facility. Find details online.
Many different dumpster roll-off options are available to non-residential customers. These businesses can arrange for regular waste pickup by contacting the Solid Waste and Recycling Division at 970-923-5110.
The Town’s Wildlife Ordinance requires that trash containers are not left out overnight, and that dumpster sights are properly closed and secured to mitigate wildlife’s access to trash. Visit our Animal Services page for details on wildlife resistant containers and safe disposal guidelines.
