Roundabout at Brush Creek & Owl Creek Roads

Project Overview

This project constructs a roundabout at the intersection of Brush Creek Road & Owl Creek Road to improve safety, traffic flow, aesthetics, and mobility. It will also update utilities within the intersection. Funding covers all construction costs, including material testing and inspections.

The Town has partnered with utility providers to upgrade aging utility infrastructure simultaneously as part of this project. 

Project Timeline

This project starts in March 2026 and is expected to be completed in November 2026.

Project Cost

The total project cost is $8.5 million.

Roundabout Project Timeline

Phase 1 – Mid-March

What’s happening:

Crews will locate and move underground utilities, build retaining walls, install temporary road areas, and put in new water and storm drainage lines.

What to expect:

  • Minor traffic impacts while the work zone is set up
  • Roads and intersections will operate as they do today since work is outside the existing roadway
  • Bus stops will close in March
  • Some trails will have temporary detours

Phase 1 Map

Phase 2 – Mid-May

What’s happening:

Work continues on underground utilities and storm drainage. Crews will prepare the roadway for the future roundabout, build bus stops, and install concrete sidewalks and surfaces.

What to expect:

  • Lane shifts on the road
  • Minor traffic delays
  • Both Brush Creek Road and Owl Creek Road will remain open with two lanes of traffic
  • Pedestrian and bike detours will continue

Phase 2 Map

Phase 3 – Early June

What’s happening:

Crews will continue utility work, concrete installation, drainage improvements, trail extensions, and bus stop construction.

What to expect:

  • Lane shifts will continue
  • Minor traffic delays
  • Both Brush Creek Road and Owl Creek Road will remain open with two lanes
  • Pedestrian and bike detours will continue

Phase 3 Map

Phase 4 – Mid- to Late August

What’s happening:

Final paving will take place, along with completion of sidewalks, trail connections, final utility connections, and landscaping.

What to expect:

  • Lane shifts on Brush Creek Road
  • Owl Creek Road will be closed to through traffic near the Fire Station
  • Traffic from Owl Creek Road will be detoured to Highline
  • Access to the Chapel and Anderson Ranch will remain open
  • Emergency vehicles will be able to get through the work zone with little to no delay
  • Pedestrian and bike detours will continue

What’s happening:

Final project steps, including permanent road striping, installation of signs, and inspections.

What to expect:

  • Minimal traffic disruptions
  • Bus stops will reopen
