[ARCHIVED] Community Night at Snowmass Rodeo

The Town of Snowmass Village announces the completion of Snowmass Town Park, a multi-year, $6.5 million beautification project. The official ribbon cutting ceremony takes place on June 26, 2024, at the start of that night’s Snowmass Rodeo.

The project includes a beautified entrance to Snowmass Village, featuring new landscaping, parking lot flow, and grounds for the Snowmass Rodeo. The updated Snowmass Rodeo grounds feature new grandstands, reoriented arena, and entry gate. The project also includes a new maintenance facility under the grandstands for the Snowmass Recreation, Parks & Trails department. The new rodeo grounds offer the opportunity for additional skier parking in the winter.

“We are so excited for the rodeo to celebrate 50 years of Western Heritage in Snowmass this summer,” says Jim Snyder, President, Snowmass Rodeo. “Snowmass has long been our home and with the new TOSV approved facility we are very much looking forward to 50 more years and beyond.”

The Snowmass Rodeo celebrates its 50th anniversary this summer. This long-standing Western tradition is a Snowmass summer staple, complete with authentic cowboys and cowgirls competing in all the rodeo classics, including barrel riding, saddle bronc, bull riding, and much more. New for the 50th anniversary season, unique acts debut at each rodeo, commemorating 50 years of Snowmass Western Heritage, a 501(c)3 non-profit benefiting scholarships for the rodeo and local community.

In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony on June 26, the Snowmass Rodeo has graciously donated 500 free tickets for that night so the Snowmass community can attend the ceremony, check out the new grounds and Snowmass Town Park, and watch one of Snowmass’ most iconic summer events. Tickets can be picked up at the front desk of Snowmass Town Hall between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, starting June 14. Tickets are first come, first serve, with a limit of 4 per family (children under 3 are free). For more information, please visit tosv.com.
