A license with Harvest for Hunger to operate a food pantry at Town Hall was approved at a regular meeting of the Town Council on December 4, 2023. The food pantry is anticipated to open by the end of the year.
At a regular meeting on Monday, December 4, 2023, the Town Council approved a license for Harvest for Hunger to operate a food pantry in Town Hall. The space will be located in a flexible space immediately adjacent to the elevator on the main level of Town Hall. The food pantry is anticipated to open by the end of the year and will operate approximately between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Frozen and dry goods will be available in the food pantry. Users of this community resource are asked to please be respectful of those working in the offices and meeting rooms near the food pantry.
Harvest for Hunger is a local non-profit organization dedicated to reducing food waste in the Roaring Fork Valley and helping those in need by reducing food insecurity. The organization relies on a network of dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partners to place food in the hands of those in need.
