Construction crews will be performing pavement work on Brush Creek Road immediately downhill of the intersection with Own Creek Road on September 13 & 14. Brush Creek Road will be closed at the construction area while work is completed. A detour will be in place along Owl Creek Road. Motorists and other road users must obey all traffic control measures in place.
This project will cover the existing metal plates in the roadway that were placed earlier in the summer to mitigate the effects of a failing culvert. By covering the plates with pavement, the Town will preserve the integrity of the road through the winter season until a more permanent fix can be installed.
Further work on the intersection is scheduled to begin in 2023 with the construction of a roundabout. A redesign and reconstruction of the culvert will take place as part of the broader roundabout project.
