The Town of Snowmass Village is undertaking an aggressive road maintenance schedule in an effort to have ALL of our roadways opened by Labor Day Weekend. The Town will be utilizing the same paving contractors in an effort to maximize efficiency, and to finish the projects as soon as possible. Below is a tentative schedule of anticipated project areas and traffic delays:
Friday, August 21
7 a.m. - 12 noon
Crews will close one lane of the roundabout at Brush Creek and Wood Road, in the roundabout. Traffic will be limited to one lane, with alternating traffic. Expect delays.
After 12 noon, the road will re-open through the weekend with a rough, grooved, finish. Bikes and motorcycles should use extreme caution.
Monday, August 24
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The roundabout will be paved in sections, and one lane of traffic will be closed again. Traffic will still be allowed through the intersection, in alternating directions. Expect delays.
A patch of roadway in the current project area that is closed to through traffic, on Brush Creek Road near Sinclair dumpsters, will also be milled and paved during this time.
Tuesday, August 25
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The Housing parking lot off of Hawk Ridge lane will be milled and repaved. The lot will be closed, and residents and guests of the Mountain View complexes will be asked to move their vehicles.
Week of August 31st
The stretch of Brush Creek Road from Horse Ranch Drive to Sinclair, which is currently closed to the public, is scheduled to be paved the week of August 31st. This is the final phase of the Brush Creek Road project, and the road will re-open to all traffic shortly after completion.
