Big Mountain Enduro is Coming: What Neighbors Need to Know

The Town of Snowmass Village is excited to welcome the Big Mountain Enduro series June 21-22, 2014. Enduro racing tests riders fitness and technical skills in both cross country and downhill mountain biking. Riders are timed only on big descents and special stages of trail systems.

What Can Neighbors Expect?
Snowmass Village residents play a critical role in putting our community’s best foot forward. Plus, the more you know help you join in on all of the fun and excitement! Approximately 300 bikers will ride a combination of lift-accessed terrain on the Snowmass Ski Area, and surrounding trails in the Village. Please be advised that Snowmass Village trails we be used for the event, and restrictions will apply. We recommend alternative routes as to minimize conflict and promote public safety.

TRAIL RESTRICTIONS JUNE 21, 2014

* Please note that all times are estimates, and course marshals will let users know when the trails are safe.
Village Bound: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Rim Trail North and South: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Horse Ranch Trail: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

TRAIL RESTRICTIONS JUNE 22, 2014
* Please note that all times are estimates, and course marshals will let users know when the trails are safe.

Powerline: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Starks: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Upper and Lower Connector: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
West Government from Connector to Thorton Work Rd: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Village Bound from Sam's Knob lower station to Government Trail West: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Ditch Trail and Sleighride Trails: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Nature Trail: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Please note that cyclists will cross Divide Rd. on June 22nd. Please drive cautiously and respect course marshals who will be controlling traffic during the race. No road closures are planned.
