Each winter, the Part-Time Resident Advisory Board takes advantage of the increased presence of their constituency and holds an annual meeting. While the purpose of the PTRAB is to communicate various town projects and information to other part-time residents, the agenda for their winter meeting was jam packed with items that are pertinent to residents of all types.
On December 26, the board and audience were joined by:
- Snowmass Village Mayor Bill Boineau
- Dwayne Romero, President of Related, Colo.
- David Perry, Senior VP and Don Schuster, VP of Hospitality for Aspen Skiing Company
- Yan Baczkowski, Director of Snowmass Tourism
- Kelly Vaughn, Snowmass Village Director of Communications
While many of these speakers are not strangers to Town Council chambers, presentations provided timely and informative updates on Base Village (what's been achieved to date and what applications with the Town can be expected), Snowmass Ski Area and the proposed Limelight Hotel, how Snowmass Tourism's business plan is already guiding strategic progress in how we target visitors, and key findings from the 2013 Community Survey (and the consistency in responses from part-time and full-time residents).
