Project Update: Friday, July 29

Work Continues in the Upper Brush Creek Corridor

Another month is coming to an end, and a lot of work has taken place in the upper Brush Creek corridor. In addition to excavation and utility work, the retaining wall along Brush Creek Road is nearing completion of its first phase. The second phase of decorative stone installation will take place in August.

Next week, the final road profile of Brush Creek will be constructed, and it is anticipated that the road will be opened to one-way traffic. Work will still need to take place on the roadway, however, and one lane will remain closed to make room for sidewalk and retaining wall construction.

Intersection Improvements:

The crosswalk across Brush Creek Road, in front of the Conoco, is now complete and fully functional. These crosswalks currently have a significant lift, but they will be much smoother after the final installation of asphalt.

Also functioning now is the free-right turn lane from Wood Road onto Brush Creek Road. Turning traffic should yield to cars on Brush Creek Road and watch for cones, barrels, and workers as work continues in the roadway to construct medians.
