Project Update: Wednesday, June 24

Long Waits are Nearly Over:

Construction crews have been working hard to finalize the grading and concrete installations at the intersection of Brush Creek Road and Lower Kearns, and this is causing longer than normal traffic delays. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but please know that we're nearly complete with the first two phases of the project - ahead of schedule.

Beginning on Monday, June 27th, construction crews will begin paving Upper Kearns Road and Brush Creek Road. Longer traffic delays should also be expected during paving operations.

However, once this first lift of asphalt is complete, traffic delays will become infrequent and manageable - just in time for the holiday weekend and peak summer traffic.

Phase 3:

Phase 3 is on the horizon, and focuses on Upper Brush Creek Road. This portion of Brush creek, above the intersection, will be closed for construction activity for approximately 4 weeks. However, a detour will be in place via Carriage Way.

Again, we thank you for your patience, and apologize for any inconvenience.

New Phasing Map
Phases 1 & 2 of the project were combined to take advantage of low off-season traffic in the spring. Check out the complete updated phasing map online.

The handling of the traffic is an absolute nightmare. Waiting for more than 22 minutes each way is unacceptable. That the lines start below the Blue Roofs is unbelievable. We as residents don't like this mess, what about our pour visitors? This week has been so far a great nuisance.
