Project Update: Tuesday, May 10

You can’t predict spring weather, but construction crews have been doing a great job of predicting project timelines.

Upper Brush Creek Road, which was closed last week to complete utility work, was re-opened a day earlier than anticipated. All of Brush Creek Road is now open. Meanwhile, Upper Kearns Road remains closed, which is allowing construction crews to complete substantial excavation and utility work ahead of schedule. A detour is still in place via Lower Kearns road, which allows for easy access to Snowmass Center businesses and Town Hall.

The rest of the project remains on track. If all things continue to progress well, the mini-roundabout at the intersection of Wood Road and Carriage Way is planned to be completed in the first phase of the project. An updated phasing map, with the mini-roundabout included, is shown below.

Bus Stops:

With Upper Kearns Road closed, buses have been re-routed to exit at Lower Kearns road. To accommodate the Village Shuttle and its passengers, the bus stop located at the Snowmass Center will be temporarily re-located across the street beginning tomorrow, May 11. This will only be in place while Upper Kearns Road is closed. Passengers should look for the coned off area and temporary bus stop sign directly across from the existing bus shelter.
