General Election:
General elections in Snowmass Village are managed by Pitkin County. Their website PitkinVotes.org provides information and resources for:

New Pitkin County Elections Office Location:
The Pitkin County Elections office has moved. As the Piktin County administration building undergoes major renovation, the Elections department will be located in the Ute City Building; 501 E. Hyman Avenue, Aspen, CO 81611.

2016 Election News:
  • The General Election Date is Tuesday, November 8, 2016
  • The Snowmass Village Voter Service and Polling Center is located at Town Hall; 130 Kearns Road
  • Town Hall will be open as a voting service center on Election Day only, 7am - 7pm
  • New this year, mail in ballots can also be dropped off at Town Hall.
  • If you have moved, you need to update your voter registration in order to receive a mail ballot.
  • Register to vote or update your voter registration at PitkinVotes.org

2016 Local Ballot Issues:
  • Election for the Mayoral Seat
  • Election for two (2) Town Council seats
  • Property tax question for education and the Aspen School District
  • Property tax question for the Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District

Election Comments:
The Town of Snowmass Village is accepting comments from the public regarding the Aspen School District Tax question which will appear on the November 8, 2016 Pitkin County ballot for Snowmass Village voters.

Colorado Election Law allows any voter to submit written comments about the financial ballot issues that will be decided in the November 8th election.  All comments will be summarized and mailed to all registered voters before the election. The comments may be either for or against the proposed ballot issues.

Comments must indicate whether their comment is in favor of or against the question.  Only registered voters eligible to vote on the question can submit comments on the question, and comments must include a signature and the address where the signer is registered to vote.  The deadline for submitting comments is Friday, September 23, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.

Election Judges Needed
The extraordinary effort of our election judges is what assures the integrity of Pitkin County elections year after year. Judges are compensated and will be assigned positions based on their tech­nical proficiency and interest. Complete an application on www.pitkinvotes.com to sign up. Former judges must re­apply.
