Green Initiatives
Saving Money and Improving Comfort
The Snowmass Village Housing Department is dedicated to pursuing and implementing the latest solutions in energy efficiency and renewable energy to make their employee housing not only more comfortable, but more affordable for residents through lower electric and heating bills.

Implementation
Rodeo Place
All Rodeo Place homes and duplex units were constructed to exceed code mandated efficiency standards by a significant margin, resulting in a calculated annual energy saving of over $1,000.

Brush Creek Apartments
With the help from a grant from the Community Office for Resource Efficiency, this complex—originally constructed in 1967 as the first employee housing units in Snowmass—were given a green upgrade.

Villas North Apartments
With the help from a grant from the Community Office for Resource Efficiency, a solar thermal system and mechanical upgrades are expected to save seven to 10 percent of the complex's energy. Learn more
